Default 1&1 Hosting Hates Me

I have a couple of awesome domains in my 1&1 Account... but I don't think I can do anything with them because my account has been "locked". This happened after my debit card that I used to purchase hit expiration. I called the support line (outsources... dang!) for help and they just told me if I put a new card, it would update automatically within a day....yeah like that happened.

Don't know if any of you have had this problem before and know if I can do anything about it. Any help or counseling would be much appreciated... :D

You got to ask yourself, is it worth paying a bit more for a decent host? No point paying penny's and just loosing your website.

I'd say it is worth paying for a more decent host; if it's going to be more reliable it's definitely worth it!

It is definitely worth paying a bit more to get better service, but it is also wise to avoid creating an automatic debit payment when you do so.

No matter who you use, it is probably best to have a reminder sent in intervals before expiration, and paying with a one time payment instead of letting them simply take it when they are ready. That's almost like letting them garnish your bank account without a judgment!

If you want to pay for several years at the same time then you are still free to do so, but you remain in control of your cash flow, as far as your debit card is concerned.
