Default Best Free Host?

I like to begin a new site with a free package, which allows me to work with the design framework before paying for the domain. It is also works well when testing out ideas for product promotion.

That being said, not all free hosts are created equal. Some have too many ads and too much animation within those ads, and other provide very little space or bandwidth.

What free hosts are the best?

What free hosts have you used that were decent enough for a start up?

At the moment I am building my husbands site on piczo. It is almost completed and you can take a look at it if you wish on metal-works. Piczo is very easy to use, with simple facilities and you can easily transfer the lot to your domain name once you buy it.

You can try Hostrator . It is a free Web hosting service that offers a generous 10 gigs of space, as well as free subdomains.

You can upload your content either via your browser or FTP. Hostrator offers 24/7 tech support via E-mail. The service supports PHP and MySQL.

do these free sites insert their own advertising on your site?
you know, like the free forums do?

I would assume they have to make a profit somehow

HI,

The best uploading and downloading sites are:
rapidshare.com
rapidshare.de
megaupload.com
You can split your file into 98-100 MB each by using WinRar software (freely vailable on internet) and upload on to these sites. You can also set a password to secure your files. The content should be legal though. The files will be stored upto a maximum of 90 days, after which will get deleted automatically if no download from 90 day period.

Usually through advertisements. They also usually have an option to upgrade to paid hosting (more features obviously).

Default Site Valley

Site Valley are not free web hosting but it's a cheap Jobs solution and they are pretty good. They can be a real bargain for the blogger, especially with the best Stellenmarkt blog hosting service. I am a blogger as well and understand that every blogger wants his blog to come successful and profitable. Will definitely consider Site Valley if other projects Stellenangebote crop up.They offer very good services, at a very low price – $2.50 per month with one free domain and unlimited bandwidth.

As you said, it is worth to pay a bit. I know you don't want to lose the work you do on your website by choosing bad free host, don't you?
