Ok, so I've bought advertising in the site partners box on the front page here for my site SimpleFreelance.com
What do you guys think of my advert? Does it make you want to click? Do you think it was the right choice buying an advert here? I will post up my results of my overall campaign so you can all follow me along in my journey. Feel free to ask questions/make fun of me/look at me like this /or this /maybe even :o Here is the breakdown of my marketing: $100 - Competition to recruit new users $39.99 - 1 months advertising on RetireAt21.com $39 - 1 weeks advertising on Pixel2Life.com $18 - Listing on SitePoint.com + syndicated listing on Webmaster-Talk.com $15 - 2 blog posts over 100 blogs ranging from PR0 - PR4 $0 - Posting details of my competition on RetireAt21.com $0 - Posting details of my competition on DigitalPoint.com $0 - Posting details of my competition on NamePros.com $0 - Posting on DigitalPoint.com with my sig $0 - Posting on RetireAt21.com with my sig $0 - Putting my site on the top social bookmarking sites $0 - StumbleUpon exchanging $0 - Submitting my RSS feed to the top RSS aggregators Total: $211.99 Budget left: $128.01 You guys got any good ideas for promotion, free or paid I have missed? Some of that I am going to spend on some mods for the site, lets see how quickly that dissappears I'll post up yesterdays results in the next post. |

Ok, here are yesterdays stats, courtesy of google analytics :)
![]() As you can see, there is a big increase with the release yesterday ![]() A few of those '(none)' visits are probably me ![]() As you can see DigitalPoint is giving me the most visitors, NamePros users are looking round more I didn't have goal tracking set-up, but I have set it up now for when they hit the registration selection page, but I can't track actual sign-up conversions because it's in CGI, unless anyone knows how to put google analytics code into CGI pages? Anyway, comments are welcome, and I will update more stats tomorrow |
