With the economy as it is, and people losing their credit cards, I imagine some e-commerce stores will find other ways to handle purchases, with one resembling "lay-away. Of course, the item wouldn't be sent to the buyer until the balance was paid in full, but it is a possibility.
What creative payment methods might develop to circumvent the use of credit or debit cards? Do you think "making other arrangements" might catch on enough that people might really cut back on their use of existing online payment processing services? |

businesses would only loose from offering additional payment methods, especially if these methods are 'delayed'
by delaying payment, you are actually allowing your potential customer to have some time to look for similar products/services elsewhere |

I think Credit cards is the most practical way of paying.. But it depends on how you manage your credit cards..
