Michael started a thread on Paypal, and the posters there have raised some interesting points.
I would like to go ahead and state my opinion that Paypal is actually superior to credit cards when it comes to online buying/selling. 1. Anybody can have a paypal account, regardless of credit. 2. You can purchase online using your own money instead of interest money. Paypal is, in my opinion, a very responsible way to make purchases online. You will not get more debt, you will not generate more monthly payments for yourself. I highly recommend it. |

Using anything that doesn't involve paying interest is great. I use Paypal to move money online most of the time, but feel that i need to explore other options.
I hate having all of my eggs in one basket. Does anyone else feel this way? |

Great points florentin but not anyone can have a Paypal account, in a lot of countries you still can't sign up for Paypal.
I love the fact that to do a transaction it takes seconds but with a credit card your not sure about security and can take a while to make the order.

yes, Michael, not everybody can have a paypal account, but also not everybody can have a credit card.
plus, with a credit card, you can only make purchases. with a paypal account you can also ACCEPT payments. isn't that far superior? |
