The emails associated with Black Friday holiday sales have started hitting my email account. It seems like more or my affiliate programs are using these specials to build sales, since the economy is really slow.
I am not sure that I am going to use the same strategy as last year, though. Adding new pages, gathering product photos, etc., seems like a huge effort compared to simply pushing links to gift cards! Are you going to change your promotion strategies for this holiday shopping season? |

With financial times as they are right now, people are looking to spend their disposable incomes a little more carefully, which means they will be looking for the cheapest possible deals and prices. To stay in with the competition we are going to have to change our marketing strategies.

I thought the same way, that people are only looking for bargains since they are broke. And then I visited our local mall, and I discovered I was so wrong!
People are buying like crazy, and spending lots of money. It sure does not look like recession at the mall :) If you have a product that sells, advertise it NOW. It will sell for the holidays. |

I think you would be a fool not to change your site for Christmas, everyone already has it in their head that they need to spend at Christmas time, you just got to convince them its you they should be spending their money with.
