Default Running An Online Business Is Going To Get Harder

I am hearing more and more about the changes the government is planning to make to doing business online. It appears that it is going to be more and more difficult to run a business online, and requirements that are very similar to brick-and-mortar businesses are going to become the norm for online businesses as well.

What is this going to do to your existing business?

I don't see this effecting my business at all, only websites that offer physical products which is to much work for me. I like easy money ;-)

I think they are referring to any online business that generates some type of income.
Don't mean to be a party pooper, but they are going to get to you some day, no matter how you make money online. :D

This will be not a good development. It is hard to keep the online businesses regulated. Further it won't be possible for government to track every webmasters who do businesses through online.

actually, that is the precise thing they are trying to do.
the government feels cheated out of billions in tax money they are not collecting right now

we know how hungry they are after extra money: if they want it bad enough, they will find a way to regulate it

This should only affect those selling a physical product -- which I do not do. Looks like I'm in the clear.

Maybe the government might not be making any strong movements on those who sell electronic products, but in a time like this where the country is in a recession period anything is possible. If it's not now, it will be in the future. Taxes upon taxes, increase in fees, increase on everything. :-)

Technically speaking, the government should already be collecting taxes? Payment processors charge transaction fees, and since most online businesses utilize these, these payments should already be primed for tracking. Harsh regulation seems like overkill to me...

I'm not a tax expert by any means, though...
