Since Twitter is the topic, I thought that I'd offer a simple bit of advice to all of you that will help you use Twitter for your business properly.
We all know that blatant self-promotion on Twitter will get you nowhere. No value -> no followers -> no business. But, we do want to use Twitter to promote ourselves and our businesses. So what's the proper balance? How do we promote ourselves and at the same time not appear like leeches? As a rule of thumb, post 1 self-promoting message or link to your own content for every 10 messages that you post in Twitter. Post links to others content that you like, daily experiences, fun/human interest content, and then sprinkle in your own business. This has proven to be a proper balance and will build your Twitter following as well as traffic for your business. My Twitter is @abhay_khurana |
