Default How do you make money online?

To be honest I have been trying to make money online for about 6 months now. First of all I started off with a forum website. I built up a community of about 50 users and was getting traffic of about 100-200 people a day. I put adsense adverts on the forum but no one clicked on them. I've also tried affiliate marketing programmes such as amzon ect. but still I seem to be getting no where. Is there any other ways you can think of apart from blogging which I could try? Its quite hard for me to put in all the time and effort and get no where.

I do search engine optimization for some companys. Next week you can call me "CEO" of my first GmbH haha (GmbH = Ltd. in Germany). It's a really cool business. For sure I have some own projects too! Only SEO for customers is boring :P

Maybe the ads you had running were not of the interest of the users. Getting the ads perfect to target the user is the key.

I never knew SEO was a occupation, I thought it was just a technique which web developers used. What do SEO'ers do as a occupation? How difficult is it to get into?

I do freelance writing and the occasional odd job. I sell websites that I don't plan on developing as well. So that's how I do it.

For me, I set up affiliate sites, promote them using SEO and various inbound marketing methods and then monetize them with affiliate offers.

Try using blog instead of forum software. Forums are difficult to promote and are not very SEO friendly.

Forums can take time to develop as well and you'll need a fan base to work with as well.
All the work that you're doing will pay off, just try to avoid skipping or using too many strategies at one go because it will not only overwhelm you but it'll get you nowhere.

Focus on one or two strategies/tactics and apply it.

For example if you're into article marketing, then go on Squidoo.com and consistently post articles. Look at the top Squidoo posters, they usually have over 100 articles posted. Even for Hubpages. I have subscribed to non internet marketers and they update almost bi weekly with new articles talking about random stuff or anything that they like talking about.

Just apply one of the methods and go full force.

Howdy, fellow internet entrepreneurs

I thought I should participate in this forum a little more and get people to know me. There is many ways to make money online and one of the easiest ways Jack, is creating your own product or sell someone else product.

I believe the best way to make money online is selling information (info products) and I think you could jump into this right way and start researching to find out more about it. I see you tried some methods and didn't work for you, it's ok we all had that problem at first.

Blogging is a good way to earn money, you could also use it to your advantage and create a blog for a niche.

Here is what I do part-time and I earn about £350 ($500) a week from it. This is not just for you, everyone here please feel free to use this info and adapt it as soon as you can as its an easy way to start getting that money.

The easiest way to make money online without spending any money is as follows:

1. Choose a product on Clickbank to promote, create a Clickbank account here

2. Create a Blogger account: www.blogger.com

3. Write a preview about the product you are promoting on your blog and take the info from the sales letter of the product.

4. Include your Clickbank affiliate link at the bottom of the preview on your blog (duuh)

5. Write a couple of articles describing the product, then include a link in your article to link back to your blog. Submit your articles to Ezinearticles

And then my friend, repeat the process like crazy.

Yes, there is a little work involved (nothing comes free), but once everything is settled, you simply just leave it to earn money like a machine.

You should earn at least £10.00 ($15) per week from each of your promotions, but then my friend, think about this for a second.

If you create just 1 a day, within a month you could be earning £300+ per week online ... and then there is nothing stopping you from creating many & many more.

And then my friend, this is optional by the way but its for the best results and it's really where the great fun resides within.

You can write an ebook about what you've done and sell this for let's say about £27.00 ( $40.00 )

Then you offer resell rights to this ebook for ummm... £197.00 ( $300.00 )

..... and do it all over again. ( this is obious right)

This is just a simple and one of the easiest ways to start making money online and of course there is many more.

Anyways I came and dropped my 2 cents there (thought it costs more than that) and I hope that you guys find it informational.

Sorry for the late answer! SEO is a lil bit more! What you mean is onpage optimization. I am good in offpage optimization: Selling links! A lot of links, haha. When you have more than 1,2 or 3k domains where you can sell links you can make a lot of money ;)

More links - better rankings - it's easy.
