Default Article Writing

For those of you who are into freelance writing online what are some of your best resources for consistent article writing jobs? I've only taken private clients up to this point but am looking for more services to expand my work within.

Which ones have worked out well for you?

I know that I have a friend that submits articles to Associated Content and Ezine Articles. She don't make a ton at it but every little bit does help. Hope those might get you started.

Associated Content is the best so far and the most reliable, though it takes in only US residents. Ezine is mostly a free article directory. U can use it to drive traffic to your website / blog. But a better alternative is Hubpages.com or Helium. Hubpages does all the monetizing work for you through Google AdSense, Ebay and Amazon affiliate links. All you need to do is post good content. You can check it out.

Thanks for you suggestions. I have heard of Helium but not a whole lot about it. I will have to check it out more. I enjoy writing in general so whatever I make is great and a plus.

Helium is revenue share writing. So is Hubpages, meaning it can take a long time to see any payments for your articles, with the site owners making the lion's share of the money.

Associated Content provides small up front payments with bonuses for traffic.

Constant Content is another site that offers up front payment, but their requirements are strict and it may take a long time for your articles to be purchased.

Have you looked at some of the freelance sites like ODesk?

Associated Content is good. I think, in order to be successful and make a decent income, you have to take on several projects or work for several companies at a time.

This is an area I have never thought about for making money online. Are you good writers? Do you make it your profession?

Thanks for good suggestions. I really enjoy writing. I'd like to be able to make a little extra money by doing something I do in my free time anyway!

If you can write social media optimized stuff, join Triond.com and put up a few SMO articles. Submit to StumbleUpon. Watch the traffic pour in. Watch the money pour in.

I've made about 300 bucks with about 30 articles, 3 of them earning over 60 bucks. It definitely isn't consistent but you can get a bunch of money at once if it gets enough Diggs or Stumbles.

If you really want to get into freelance publishing start looking at magazines. If you want to do article writing for the web you can either come up with your own content and publish it on the sites folks already mentioned, or hit job boards and fill jobs.

Either way, it takes a while to get where you want to be, but you can go places with it.
