Traffic Exchanges and Banner Exchanges

Has anyone tried one of these?

I experimented with these for a bit and actually generated a few sales. Of course, you have to very careful and choose only those exchanges that truly target your market and they seem to work best for business to business offerings than other types of sales.

I found that having one or two of the right traffic or banner exchanges is workable. When I am too tired to be creative, I wind down by looking at other members' sites, and I have found inspiration by looking at what others are doing and presenting..

I had tried advertising in traffic exchanges and I had a partial success with them. The main disadvantage in traffic exchanges is that we cannot get targeted clients who are interested in buying.

Actually, it depends on the exchange.

The exchanges that carry tons of people looking for sign ups won't generate sales, but those populated with e-commerce sites have been good to me.

The atmosphere is "shopping", so the other members are still looking for good bargains on products.

When I was running a graphic's forum called ShoutGfx a lot of us relied on MASS BANNER EXCHANGE. Where we have a page of over 30 small banners to partner websites and this technique did bring in a lot of traffic and made everyone aware of your site.
