Social Networking sites

I had tried advertising on a social networking site and I had a very good success with them. Social networking sites are best when we are looking for mass advertisement campaigns.

Had any of you advertised in a social networking site before.:)

I have looked at a few, like MySpace, but many seem too cluttered for advertising or blog promotions to be very effective. All of the effort gets buried under banners, groups, and pick up lines.

The NING Network is cleaner and leaner, with a population that tends to be older than that found on MySpace or Facebook, but I haven't started actively advertising there and have no idea if the ROI would be reasonable.

Has anyone else tried promoting a site or affiliate on the NING network?

I have tried TextLinkAds. I chose a music site that linked back to my sponsors' games sites. Had good success with it until they decided to stop the ad campaigns.

I also had some success selling stock pics and images but that's through my own blog without advertising.
