I had tried advertising on blogs which have good traffic rate and it really worked for me. I got traffic and sales through them. In some cases blogs are better than other websites for promoting a site or product.

Had anyone done website and product marketing through blogs. Have you had success through them.

No, I have not done any product marketing using other peoples blogs, though i do like the idea of using an already popular medium to promote goods. How does it generally work out with costings?

Yep, I have had some success with marketing via my own blog but right now I am getting zero results as I have not uploaded third-party ads to my blog yet. I am re-organising things! I have not started to use other people's blogs for marketing except for commenting, and then again, I am very careful of what I put into my comments.
