Which Social Bookmarking Website Brings You The Most Traffic
Which Social Bookmarking Website Brings You The Most Traffic?
I only see traffic from Digg and Stumbleupon, I would say Stumble brings me around 10,000 a month and Digg brings me around 500 but if I reach Digg homepage that month I could expect to see 40,000 visitors. Which one do I prefer? Digg brings a lot of traffic at the same time which can be hard on the servers and cause them to crash! BUT... Digg also brings links, a lot of people will link to your website which has helped me get some killer search engine rankings. Stumble brings numbers, I don't see much effect from Stumble.

I've only used Digg and had good results from it. I'm going to submit to Stumbleupon as well because I'm expecting that using both services can result in better traffic and the time versus traffic return isn't much of an issue when you can get good results.

I'm curious if this strategy works for all types of websites. My wife has a site that needs to be promoted, but neither of us has much experience with it. She currently posts articles occasionally on social networking sites, it seems there is an initial burst of traffic, then it dies down once they've visited and know about her book. We don't know how to generate new traffic.

Stumbleupon works more than any other site for me. Delicious isn't bad either, I haven't really noticed anything coming in from Digg.

Twitter - and I almost gave it up cos I wasn't seeing results. :)
StumbleUpon worked for me somewhat - although I am sure it would have worked better if I don't keep forgetting my login details (activate it via browser). |

Twitter.
I get about 64.41% of my traffic from twitter. Go figure. Here is my break down straight from google analytics: 1. twitter.com / referral 64.41% 2. (direct) / (none) 24.61% 3. facebook.com / referral 2.07% 4. bizsugar.com / referral 1.36% 5. youngentrepreneur.com / referral 0.86% 6. feedproxy.google.com / referral 0.78% 7. google / organic 0.78% 8. google.com / referral 0.71% 9. zi.ma / referral 0.50% 10. bloggernity.com / referral 0.36% I am trying to get more search engine traffic ... we will see how that goes. -Adam |

Mine is from Stumbleupon ... I have good network at there and because of that I can see the impact for my blogs. After Stumbleupon its Digg ... I am trying to get more and more traffic from Digg. Just want to make my channel at there as well.
