Smart Kids Become Entrepreneurs

Hi Everyone,

Today I am featuring the BackPocket COO – Cameron Herold in one of the best videos I have ever watched on being a young entrepreneur and inspiring parents to raise entrepreneurs. Cameron is one very smart guy who also just so happens to mentor my friend Yanik Silver. I have heard Yanik mention Cameron a number of times now – and having watched this video I can see why Yanik is so positive about his mentor.

The video is just over 20 minutes long but it jam packed from beginning to end with inspiration, great ideas and LOVE for entrepreneurship. Like so many of us, Cameron got started very young and his pride and enthusiasm for Young Entrepreneurs and being an entrepreneur is abundantly clear.

Check out Cameron’s website at: BackPocketCOO.com

For over 20 years, Cameron Herold has been coaching, speaking to, and helping entrepreneurs on five continents build their companies. He started BackPocket COO to be able to coach and mentor young, fun companies, and help them make their dreams happen.

Cameron mentions that great Ayn Rand book; Atlas Shrugged in this video. It contains one of my favorite Life Quotes of all time:

I swear by my life and my love of it that I will never live for the sake of another man, nor ask another man to live for mine

Powerful words and inspiring words.

Enjoy the video – I really cannot rate it highly enough. You will be inspired!

  3. Great presentation by Cameron, I am currently a college student, and I can say he is right, they don’t really teach the students how to be entrepreneurs, but rather teach more of a book basis, how do it corporate style. Still though, I would argue that true entrepreneurs will be able to escape the mediocrity of high school/college and be able to still be an entrepreneur, and use the knowledge they learned from high school/college and apply it to their entrepreneurial driven mind.

  7. Robb Markley says:

Kids start out creative. It is the institution of education that takes it away from them. The education system teaches us to become employees. It really is sad to say but the most successful entrepreneurs have been failures in school.

  8. Great video! I think it is very important to teach children how to become Entrepreneurs because it teaches them about many important life lessons as well. They can learn how to overcome obstacles, take risks, and believe in themselves. Thank you for sharing this excellent entrepreneurial insight.

  18. Gary Drewry says:

I always wish that I was raised to be enterpreneur. I can see that being an entrepreneur is like being a racer. The more you practice the more you have chance to succeed. I have no experience at all, even never ‘watched’ and ‘learned’ from people around me doing any business, because I come from non-entrepreneur family a.k.a pure employee family. I need to learn from other people and I started too late I think. But, there’s nothing to complain, I’ll keep trying until I succeed.
